Since the release of the first Leica M3 camera in 1954, every M camera has been the pinnacle of photography. M10-R Performance
The ‘R’ in M10-R stands for Resolution. This new Leica camera sports an impressive 40 MP sensor, capable of capturing even the finest detail. In addition to the clear visibility of even the finest details, the new sensor provides you with freedom. Freedom to print large Fine Art prints full of detail, but also freedom to photographers that want to crop their images, but maintain image quality.
High resolution used to mean that you had to compromise in low-light capabilities, but with the new Leica M10-R this is no longer the case. Also at higher ISO values you’re ensured of the highest image quality. The new image sensor also has significantly improved dynamic range, allowing you to capture both the highlights and shadows of a scene in their full glory.

The M10-R shares its shutter with the M10-P. Those that are familiar with this Leica camera know what that sounds like, or more how that doesn’t sound like anything. This shutter is the quietest shutter ever in a rangefinder camera, meaning you can discreetly capture a scene without disturbing the moment you’re witnessing!
Leica Lenses
A 40 MP sensor means you need a lens that can render this resolution. The Leica M-lenses are well regarded as the best lenses available, and they’re the perfect match for this new M10-R. Particularly in combination with the APO lenses, such as the APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH., the M10-R delivers breathtaking images. For those that worry that a high resolution sensor will mean that the distinctive characteristics of older M lenses will be lost, need not to worry! The character that is loved and cherished by so many, is maintained.
