Discover how far a compact Leica can take you. The Leica D-Lux 8 balances pocketable size with wide-to-tele reach, making it ideal for travel and daily life. In this small-group workshop, we demystify the camera so it feels intuitive and ready for any moment.

The morning focuses on technology and setup: buttons and menus, autofocus and metering behavior, Auto vs Manual (and when to use each), white balance and picture styles, plus how focal lengths and aspect ratios shape your story.

After lunch on location, we head outside to the bustling streets of Amsterdam for a guided, hands-on session that puts everything into practice. You’ll leave more confident, faster with your settings, and inspired to explore everyday life with this travel gem.

Daimon Xanthopoulos is a Netherlands-based photographer and filmmaker whose 20+ year career spans conflict reportage, humanitarian narratives, and a recent turn toward mythic, layered fine art. A lifelong Leica user across the S, SL, M, and D-Lux systems, he teaches with quiet precision and purpose. In this D-Lux 8 workshop he’ll share field-tested ways to set up the camera, work fast with light and color, and turn everyday moments into meaningful images—unlocking this pocket powerhouse.
